Greening the meeting and carbon offsets

Climate Friendly large

In an attempt to host an environmentally responsible meeting the organising committee is purchasing carbon offsets to cover event items such as food, electricity and keynote speaker travel. Delegates also have the option of purchasing carbon offsets to reduce the environmental impacts of their travel and accommodation in Cairns. Carbon offsets are being managed through Climate Friendly (https://climatefriendly.com/).

Delegates have the option of buying one tonne/carbon credit to contribute towards the offsetting of the event at a cost of $26.  For more information about carbon credit options and to see how the funds will be used please visit the Climate Friendly website.
